As its name suggests, Ascent is a seating system that elevates public space furniture to new heights. The series was created in consultation with architects and planners to create a flexible, modular system that could change and adapt as its surroundings evolve. Designed with placemaking in mind, Ascent’s soft contours, smooth textures, and sustainable wood make public space interiors warmer and more welcoming.

Ballston Quarter opened in 1951 in Arlington, Northern Virginia, just outside Washington D.C. It was the first American shopping center built around a multi-story parking garage. The aging mall was renovated once in the 80’s and at the end of the 2010’s needed serious overhauling to make sure the space remained an integral part of the Arlington area well into the future. The urban strategy chosen for the 320 M USD project saw turning retailers out to the street to give the quarter a downtown feel, something that was emphasised by the project’s “old meets new” aesthetics.
The railways in India are for the people and are used more than anywhere on the planet. Today, people spend their time waiting on the floor, which is not optimal for the passengers nor the surrounded business. A significant investment plan has been launched across the country to increase the passenger experience, encouraging more people to choose the train over flying for long-distance travel.
