Viladecans Hospital, Spain

Located in an area of strong expansion, Viladecans Hospital has since 2019 undergone great changes, expanding and reforming the hospital’s infrastructure. An initiative of the ICSVerds Environment team has made every effort to achieve its goal: sustainability at its best.

Launched in June 2024 the new facilities of Viladecans Hospital are all about improving patient experience. The hospital is also more sustainable and comfortable for users and professionals, and its design emphasizes natural light, spacious and welcoming spaces with a biophilic interior landscape.

The hospital chose Ascent Healthcare Solution to create inviting and easily accessible places. The soft contours, smooth textures, and wood surfaces of Ascent contribute with warmth in the clinical surroundings. The raised seats and armrests make sure everyone can enjoy a pause when visiting the hospital.

Green Furniture Concept’s biophilic design and strong sustainability focus were a prerequisite when Viladecans Hospital chose our furniture. As demands on public spaces are constantly evolving, the fact that Ascent, like all Green Furniture Concept’s seating series, is modular was crucial. To be able to reconfigure and add modules in the future when new needs are required, rather than replace, is a sustainable solution in line with Viladecans Hospital vision.
