Plants, moss and leaf lamps are a part of the biophilic design to create a calm atmosphere. This is furthered by relaxing background music, large windows for getting a generous amount of daylight and our own benches to tie everything together.
The central location, biophilic nature, and the striking architecture of the building were key elements when choosing the new location for the Green office and showroom. The design of Green Furniture Concept is all about wellbeing. For instance, the Leaf Lamp Pendants are sound-absorbent, and the Nova C Recliners are designed for relaxation.

The challenge
When looking for a spot for the new Green Place, it was important to find a building and a space that was memorable and extraordinary with enough room to showcase and use Green’s placemaking design. The aim was to create an environment where the team felt good and inspired to show up at the office and release their full potential.
The Green solution
Green’s furniture was used, and the company carpenters built specially designed pieces that interact with the standard offering. The walls of the meeting rooms are decorated with ribs in the colors of the Nova C seating. A large, green version of the company logotype is featured halfway up a wall. This gives the space a very coherent branding beyond mere signs and logotypes. Even the building’s exterior echoes our brand values – sculptural and green.
Pendants, dividers, planters, and lounge furniture are all made by Green Furniture. Storage, desks and the coffee table were designed in-house and built by our carpenters. Task chairs and desk frames were brought in second-hand. Around one of our Leaf Lamp Trees, four desks with felt dividers are fitted, showcasing an excellent example of the new shapes of Green Furniture in harmony with standard office furniture.
The organic shapes of the outer walls, together with the pendants, seamless benches, and rich greens, made this a biophilic Green place, putting the right environment for the creativity and wellbeing of the team.
Shortly after moving in, we did a survey, hoping the team would enjoy the new space. The results turned out to show they did. Everyone is proud to have a combined office and showroom that reflects the Green brand with design, sustainability, and visitor experience.

Biophilic design for the wellbeing of the team and visitors

Acoustic lighting for sound absorbation
With large and spacious areas comes the challenge of solving good acoustic and lighting requirements. The installation of the different Leaf Lamp solutions, such as pendants and trees, solved this and brought the biophilic design.
Recycle bins and dividers
Designed recycle bins add to the overall feeling of the office and encourage sustainable habits. Dividers with cut-out holes create room for privacy, while the see-through effect keeps the sense of togetherness.
